Dr. Spitzmiller, board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine, received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois, and his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Spitzmiller was the chairman of pediatrics for Southview/Grandview Hospital and he is an associate clinical professor of pediatrics for Wright State University.

Dr. Spitzmiller and his wife Meredith have four children. In addition to spending time with his family he enjoys theatre, tennis, landscaping, home improvement and bicycle racing.
