The goal of the Fetal to Newborn Care Center is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care from fetal diagnosis to delivery and newborn care, and beyond.
Our center brings together the region’s leading experts in maternal-fetal medicine, newborn critical care and pediatric subspecialties to provide comprehensive, high-quality and compassionate care to women facing a complex fetal condition or high-risk pregnancy.
Together, Miami Valley Hospital and Dayton Children’s Hospital bring decades of experience caring for the most critically-ill newborns. In fact, more than 80 percent of critically-ill newborns in this region are cared for by these two hospitals. That is why they formed the Southwest Ohio Neonatal Collaborative, a venture that aligns the care provided in the Level III Newborn Intensive Care Units at each of the hospitals. We have brought together a nationally recognized team of experts with specialized training and experience treating mothers and babies with high-risk conditions. Through this collaborative, these leading hospitals are strengthening the quality of care with extensive medical resources as well as through sharing of protocols, best practices, and training and education.
