Arturo Aranda, MD, Division Chief

Arturo Aranda, MDArturo Aranda, MD, is Chief, Division of Pediatric Surgery at Dayton Children’s. He is also the Endowed Chair of General Pediatric Surgery.

He received his medical degree from the UANL Medical School in Monterrey, Mexico, as well as Monterrey University in surgery, and the Wright State University School of Medicine in pediatric surgery. He completed fellowships at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, as well as the Pediatric Surgery Clinical International Fellowship. He is board-certified in surgery.

His special interests include neonatal minimally invasive surgery, surgical instrument improvements and developments, as well as minimally invasive surgery, thoracoscopy, and laparoscopy. He is the associate professor and associate program director of surgery at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
