Dr. Kovac grew up in the Chicago area and earned her undergraduate degree at University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She went on to earn her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Kovac completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. While in fellowship her areas of research included preeclampsia and ultrasound markers for Down syndrome. Dr. Kovac is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Kovac fulfilled her duty in the Army at Darnall Army Medical Center at Ft. Hood, TX, which has one of the highest delivery rates for babies in the Army. She then went on to join Perinatal Partners here in Dayton. Her areas of interest include preeclampsia, diabetes in pregnancy, clinical obstetrics, and resident education.
Dr. Kovac is married, has two sons and one daughter, and resides in Oakwood, OH.
